We will be living within the home whilst the work is being completed, will it be dirty? Will it be safe around my children and pets?
We have worked within many homes where the customers are still living at home, we will discuss any concerns with you before the project has started. Let’s face it building work can be dirty but we will try and make sure that dust and dirt is kept down to a minimum, if we can we will contain it to the area we are working within. We can discuss ways of moving food storages into other areas of the home so that everything is still easily accessible. Unfortunately we won’t always be able to provide cooking or washing facilities depending on the project but we can discuss ways to pre-empt the disruption caused.
We live in a flat or a quiet neighbourhood where there are time restrictions on construction work, how will you overcome this?
We will try and be as polite and courteous to all the surrounding areas of the project. We will work to the regulations of noise disruption so that we don’t upset any of your neighbours. We will also discuss working times if you have small children at home, no one needs a drill making a racket when you’re trying to put a baby down for a nap. We will ensure that all our trades discuss the potential work for that day and whether their maybe a lot of noise so that you can make alternate arrangements if required.
Your quote is a little higher than expected or more than other companies have quoted, why is this?
Firstly there is a huge amount of competition for home improvement work and it is always wise for any of our customers to get several quotes to compare. There is usually always a company that may quote cheaper just to get the work, but are you sure there will be no hidden costs down the line or will they be as reliable as we will be?
We can promise that you are not only paying for the materials and labour but you are also paying for experienced & qualified tradesmen who know what they are doing. Sounds like everyone else still doesn’t it? Well like we have outlined above we project manage the work for you, we make your project our number one priority, we will give you a schedule of works so that you have a guidance on when your life can get back to normal after the disruption. All our quotes are detailed as much as possible so you know exactly what you are paying for and we also provide you with a Professional Services Contract before work commences. This contract is between us and the customer to help protect both parties until the work is completed and everyone walks away happy.
